I bought this book on a whim - and it was one of the best book-buying whims I ever had.
The art work is delicate and evocative. I know many of the places illustrated (OK, so that makes me a bit biased) and Catherine Hamilton has caught the essence of them and brought them to life.
The flowers, too, are rendered with delicacy and the depth of feeling that combines accuracy of detail with sensitivity to the overall beauty.
The text is somewhat limited but it combines facts with personal observations. The reader feels as if they took this tour of England with the artist and writer.
If you love flowers I think you will enjoy this book
